Recycling Containers for Your Community Event

Waste Left After an Event

Coachella has been leading the way in event sustainability initiatives, including: recycling education, recycled art, and plastic bottle exchange. If you help organize events at schools, your place of business, or other locations; follow their example by through sustainable behaviors at your next outdoor event. As you’re making your checklist for the annual fundraiser, the summer festival, or a farewell party, you may make sure you include recycling containers.

According to the EPA, 54% of what we throw away ends up in a landfill. From the small boxes that food or party supplies come in, to the obvious water bottles and coffee cups, there is a lot to be recycled at events large or small. But since recycling isn’t usually the main focus at events, it’s easy to overlook. By providing recycle containers, you’ll be part of a group that shows recycling is part of our everyday lives, even at a school fundraiser. And who knows, you may even encourage other event organizers to put recycling containers on their checklists.

If the events you help with are annual, or if your organization has multiple activities a year, you might consider purchasing containers specifically for your group. By having designated bins and labeling them with your organization’s name, you’ll have them handy for future use.

And did you know, recycling containers can come in a variety of colors and styles? Imagine the smiles people will have at your Arts and Crafts festival or PTA fundraiser when they see a purple and red container. A stylish bin may even inspire people to recycle their empty coffee cups instead of tossing them in the trash.

  3. An outstanding share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a co-worker
who was doing a little research on this. And he actually bought me breakfast simply
because I stumbled upon it for him… lol. So allow me to reword this….
Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending the time to discuss this topic here on your web site.

You understand a whole lot its almost hard to argue with you (not that I really would
want to…HaHa). You definitely put a brand

When having a party or any event there will be so much trash and that can irritate you. These days there are dumpster bins rental service providers that provide dumpster bins for such event. These companies provide the dumpster bins in which your guest can throw the trash items so that after filling it up or ending the event they take away this trash from you. I think this is a good idea as this will keep the area clean.

In need of planning or waste disposal and want to be environmentally friendly at our community festival. It’s free so we are looking for economically viable solutions. Thanks.
